Pulitzer-winning journalist, Seymour Hersh, wrote a recent article on the gas attack that the mainstream media told its viewers was the result of Assad gassing his own people. Trump responded by launching 59 cruise missiles at a Syrian airbase. Hersh's connections in the intel community tell us a completely different story, one many of us suspected based on the information that was coming out of the area from independent journalists that contradicted the mainstream media.
Hersh writes, "Trump issued the order despite having been warned by the U.S. intelligence community that it had found no evidence that the Syrians had used a chemical weapon." Furthermore, "The available intelligence made clear that the Syrians had targeted a jihadist meeting site on April 4 using a Russian-supplied guided bomb equipped with conventional explosives. Details of the attack, including information on its so-called high-value targets, had been provided by the Russians days in advance to American and allied military officials in Doha, whose mission is to coordinate all U.S., allied, Syrian and Russian Air Force operations in the region." After the US-led coalition (now allied with Syria/Russia) were closing in to retake Raqqa from ISIS/Al-Qaeda and shut down the war in Syria, a chemical attack on civilians in terrorist-controlled areas took place today, tragically killing an unknown number of men, women, and children.
CNN and the rest of the fake news brigade are up in arms reporting that Assad gassed his own people and are demanding we do something about it.
Despite the Obama administration siding with ISIS against the Syrian/Russian governments toward regime change, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson visited recently and said, “The Syrian people should be able to choose their own (political) future.” And, thus, we pulled a 180 and sent in troops to assist Syria/Russia in the fight against the terrorists (as Trump had promised). Hell no. They only care about not airing their own dirty laundry and the United States true agenda. For example, there are pictures/videos of neocons, like Senator John McCain, meeting with ISIS/Al Qaeda during the Syrian civil war crisis, while he protects his interests there and claims Russia is a greater threat than ISIS.
We also have neolibs caught on tape (John Kerry) admitting he wants war, the US wants regime change in Syria, and the US is working with and training ISIS/Al Nusra/Al Qaeda.
This particular video, starring total neocon Lindsay Graham, enraged me. Particularly this quote right at the end:
The White Helmets have been celebrated on the likes of 60 Minutes and a documentary short about them won an Oscar in the 2017 Academy Awards. But what if I told you it was all nothing more than a load of propaganda crap?
So here’s who the White Helmets really are:
They’re a propaganda organization funded by the US. Western media uses them as a way to flip this war around and make it look like Russia is helping Syria bomb their own people.
• US citizens are too caught up in the dirty politics of the presidential election to take notice….
• Russia has mobilized for war against the US and taken numerous actions that include ordering all Russian children to be withdrawn from overseas nations, conducting a nationwide disaster preparedness drill with 40 million people, Putin convening the “Holy Council of War", moving nuclear ICBMs to their borders, nuclear submarines moving to “strike points," ordering Russian Ministries to bunkers, instructing their people to find their nearest bomb shelters, and General Igor Konashenkov bluntly warning that any effort by American airpower in Syria will be countered with live fire. This article, based on an interview with the first western journalist allowed to spend time with ISIS without being killed, paints a much different picture of the group than what we get from the US media.
Upon reading through it, I don’t get the sense that they are the huge threat they have been portrayed as. Sure, they’re capable of disgusting small scale attacks that create big headlines and they’re taking control of areas of the desert where there isn't much resistance. But, there is already dissension in their ranks and their army is jaded by the failed promises by those who recruited them. Their strategy relies on defending themselves with guerrilla warfare tactics as they do all they can to incite US/Allies to send ground troops into their territories so they can go out in a blaze of glory.
